Ethan singing Christmas Songs

Ethan wanted to teach everyone a few more songs. I especially enjoy the wording to Frosty the Snowman. Sorry the image is so bright. The sun was reflecting off the snow. Merry Christmas!

More Snow Pictures

So, when the news started calling this storm the "Arctic Blast" I thought that was an exaggeration. I would like to admit, I was wrong. Check out our minivan below.
Early yesterday morning, Eric measured the snow. By now, we have a little over 15 inches. That is crazy!
I know I already posted this picture, but now you can click on it and enjoy the full screen view. I feel like it sums up Ethan's thoughts on the snow so well.

This is the view down the street. It's kind of fun to see all the rooftops covered in snow.

If you've been snowed in like we have, you've got to do some baking. Ethan enjoyed helping me out by putting a caramel in each cookie. He also enjoyed pretending like he was going to eat each one every single time. As you can imagine, he had the biggest grin on his face while doing it. Since he was so funny, he also laughed at his own joke over and over. Who does he get that from =).

I had to throw in an Abby picture. Plus check out her candy cane shirt I got from our last sale.
Sometimes when we are driving around, I'll tell Ethan to look at the trees, flowers, etc. I'll ask him who made that. He tells me that God did. I then ask Ethan if we should tell God what a good job he did? Ethan will then say, "Good job God." When I look outside and see the snow over everything or the ice covering each individual limb, I can't help but say, "Good job God!"

Snow Snow Snow Snow Snow

Here's a clip from one of my favorite movies to watch this time of year. I was going to try to play that song in the background on my blog, but it's too much work to figure that out. So, I know you've all been dying to know what we've been up to during Arctic Blast '08. Your dreams are about to come true. Ethan has REALLY been into dancing and Frosty the Snowman by Harry Connick Jr. One night this week while I was making spaghetti, I put that song on. Ethan ran in as fast as he could and started to dance. We had a great time. We also discovered that cookie sprinkles make great shakers to dance with.

Might be time for a new hat and his underlayer =)

Ethan: She's a Gingerbread

She was so bundled up that she couldn't get her hands near her bottle. She drank half of her bottle like this.

Ethan: I'm ready to play

Ethan: Hand me that snowball. I know what to do with it.

Yeah that's right. I'm lookin' at you.

Here is Ethan headed right for me

Christmas PJ Outtakes

Ethan: Hey Abby, I have an idea. Come a little closer so mama can't hear. Let's be silly. Follow my lead.
Abby: I'm not so sure about this.

Ethan: Hey, you're eating the ornament. That's a good start.

Ornament on the head
Ethan: HILARIOUS right?

Ethan: Hey Abby, I have another idea. Let's play a joke on mommy and not smile. It will be so funny. Trust me.

Ethan: Good job Abby. You're really getting into it.

Mama: Abby, what did Ethan tell you to do?
Abby: I don't know what you're talking about.

Abby: Pssst. Hey, maybe we can look at the camera
for the next one. I think she's on to us.

Abby: Wow, mama is sure acting silly. I can't believe she just made that silly face. Ethan: I know. She is crazy. She's deserves a good one. Let's smile for the next one. Abby: Good idea.

Abby in her Christmas PJs

I love this age where your child will sit in one place and allow you to take several pictures of them. Here are a few of my favorites of Abby.

First Hot Cocoa Video

Last night we went to look at the lights around the neighborhood. Before we left though, Ethan experienced Hot Cocoa for the first time. I think he liked it. =)

Ethan for Hire: Personal Tree Decorator

As part of our first family advent activity, we decided to decorate our tree. I built it up in Ethan's head by telling him we were going to put decorations on the tree and that it would be so much fun, etc. Eric and I had our heads turned for a second. When we turned around, we saw this.

Somehow the word "decoration" got lost in translation. He would put a block on the tree and then go run and get another one. Needless to say, he brought a huge smile to our faces. Now we can tell him years from now, that the first decoration he put on the tree was a pillow. Again, if any of you need some help decorating your tree, he works for very reasonable rates. =)

So here he is putting up his first "real" ornament. He managed to do it without any help. He takes his work very seriously.

Showing off his work

Abby taking in all the fun

Getting our Tree

Here are a few pictures of us getting our tree this year at our nearby farm. This year, Ethan was old enough to "help" his daddy cut down the tree.

Happy Thanksgiving Songs from Ethan

Ethan has a few songs to sing for you. The second song is called, "Hello Mr. Turkey." The words in the middle should be, "with a wobble wobble wobble and a gobble gobble gobble." Ethan decided to change things up a bit. Happy Thanksgiving!

And I couldn't leave Abby out of things. She wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving too.

Just for Fun.

Our Little Opera Singer

Ethan is a boy that never smiles or laughs. He never starts laughing just because everyone else is. He never makes up jokes and laughs at them harder than anybody. He never acts silly. HAHAHA. Yeah right! =)

Here he is singing that final last high note to end his song =)
