Sprinkler Video

Here is some video from our fun evening last night. Jack LOVED the sprinkler. I think my favorite part is the end while the kids are eating their yogurt pops.

Cousins

Last night I had the privilege of watching Jack. Eric is away for a few days on business (miss you honey). It took a little to convince his parents, but they finally caved. My dad was there to help too. We all had a great time. The sun was still partially out so we headed to the backyard, turned on the sprinkler, had some go-gurts, blew bubbles and ran. I have video too, but will start with some still pictures.

Look at those grins
Jack: Come on Ethan, it's fun to stick your head in. I've been doing it all night.

What kind do you have?

I love Abby's little grin in this picture

I made a monkey face at the boys. I guess it was a good one =)

How's it going Poppie?

Q: What do you do with kids covered in yogurt?
A:
I went inside to change Abby and came back to this. My dad said they sat like this the whole time. I don't think Ethan likes me taking his picture in this one =).

Is it more fun to blow bubbles or eat them =)
Abby all tuckered out after a fun night. Notice the football pajamas. They worked for Ethan so why not. I hope you get to come over again soon Jack ;).

Walking and Giggles

Seriously, my last post was about snow! It has been a little while I guess. Here is some video from today. Abby thinks she's pretty funny and loves interacting with us more and more. Here she is playing a little game of peek-a-boo and gotcha. Also, proof that she is walking now. =)

Snow Day with Oma

I just realized yesterday, it had been 3 weeks since I posted. I guess I've just been busy with family, Easter, cleaning, Cousins' Closet and my new love of coupons. Also, the flash on the camera completely stopped working. It is being fixed as we speak and we should be getting it back next week. We did borrow Mike and Becky's camera a few ago when we went to Mt. Hood with Oma. It was the most beautiful day. It had just snowed a ton over the last week so snow was still on all the trees driving up. We had a great time. Here are a few pictures.

The walk up was a little steep plus you'd sink with each step. Easiest way to carry Ethan is to grab his snowsuit and go =).

Since the snow was so soft, Eric would just throw Ethan in the air and let him land. Ethan thought this was the best game ever! This is what was left after Ethan got up. It was deeper than it looks.

snowball is in hand and ready to fire

Just for fun =)

Dad sure is making me do all the hard work. This thing is heavy!
Attempting a group shot

Out of order. Stink! oh well. here is the end of our run. As you can see, Ethan did a face plant (quick recovery too).

Right before the face plant
It was fun walking through the snow and being the first ones to make the footprints.
Here is some daddy daughter fun.
She was not a huge fan of touching the snow with her bare hands. I think there is a picture of Eric doing the same thing with Ethan when he was almost 1.

You've got to do the family sled run.

Our sweet little girl NEVER sleeps in the car. She missed her morning nap and on the way home, this is what happened. I'm so glad I snapped a picture. What a sweet baby girl!

Haircuts

Ethan and Abby got a special treat the other week. We went to this hair salon for kids near Washington Square. Ethan was so excited! Funny though since he doesn't get that excited when I cut his hair =). Anyway, he loved it. He was able to watch Thomas and pick his car or airplane to sit in. He was so excited when he learned he was coming back the next day for Abby's haircut. That meant he could play with all the toys. Abby enjoyed the toys too and her first haircut. She wanted to jump up and down and dance the whole time.

We took Abby in for a few reasons. She was beginning to get the Carol Brady look in the back like she had when she was a few months old. Also whenever she took her bow out, which is often, she couldn't see because her bangs were too long.

She had the biggest smile on her face the whole time. I had to snap a couple shots.

I love this one

Ethan and Thomas the Train

So for Ethan's birthday this year we took him to see Thomas the Train at the Memorial
Coliseum. We didn't tell him where we were going until we were at the MAX station (watch the video). We road the MAX, which is exciting on it's own, to the show. After sitting in our seats for a bit and watching a few cast members entertain us, we heard a whistle. I wish you could have seen his face. The perfect mixture of joy and surprise. You guessed it, it was Thomas. It was an evening filled with songs, audience participation and looking over at Ethan every few seconds. As you can tell by the last picture, Ethan had a great time. In fact, when it was over, he asked if he could do it again =).

Waiting for the MAX with my silly boy

Here is a picture after the show was over. I think he liked it =)
