More of Abby Smiling

So here is my last post for a couple days. Eric called me today and said he was coming home a day early. This girl is very happy! We can't wait to have our husband and daddy back. Love you sweetie!

Here is a video of our day at the Children's museum. None of us had ever been before. I think we all had a nice nap afterwards. Oh yes, enjoy the music for the pictures at the end. I was having trouble figuring out how to import music to this program and I was tired. I decided something was better than nothing so I went with one of the songs the software came with. I think it fits well, especially with the last few pictures of Ethan and Carson.

Ethan got this wonderful slide for his birthday. He is enjoying it indoors for now until the weather gets nicer. As you can see below, he is loving it! Thank you Marrs, Tompkins and Bunches!

Every morning that Ethan gets up, he asks to see Abby. It's the cutest thing. Many times he asks to give her a kiss too. He also likes to make things fair. If Abby gets a kiss then mama gets one too. He also likes to ask mama and dada to hug each other. Anyway, here is video of Ethan giving Abby a kiss. Even though we asked him to this time, it's still pretty darn cute.

Here is abby all bundled up for the night. She gave me quite the gift of sleeping through the night. yay! thank you vaccines. They said she would probably sleep more for the next 48 hours. Let's hope that continues tonight =).

Ethan has really been into Thomas the Train lately. Today I bought him Toby the train (one of Thomas's friends). He kept saying, "train fit?" in the car and I didn't understand why until we got home. He wanted to see if Toby fit on his brio train set. When he realized it did, he started clapping and saying Yay! It's the little things that bring so much joy. All that to say I tried to get a picture of him playing with his new train, but instead got this shot. =)

Jesus Loves Me

Each night when we put Ethan to bed, we pray and sing a few songs. Jesus Loves Me has become one that he requests. He calls it, the Jesus song. I apologize that the song got cut off. The tape ran out, but I still think it's cute.

It's so much fun now that Abby is starting to smile. It's contagious. How can I help, but smile when she's smiling at me. Here are a few pictures from last week. Also Abby just had her two month appointment today and is at the top of the charts for height and weight. For all that are curious she weights 12 pounds 13 ounces and is 23 2/3. The doctor and nurse also thought her eyes will most likely be blue. we'll see.

Ethan Praying

Eric and I both love Bedtime with Ethan. Part of Ethan's bedtime routine includes praying for his family and friends. This was his prayer tonight, "a carcar, a henry, a dada." Then he said to me "pray." Then I hear again "a carcar, a henry, a dada." This time he said "Ethan pray." I said okay and then he prayed for Henry and dada over and over and over (he knows Henry has been sick lately and will say "Henry sick"). I jumped in with an Amen so I could get a turn =). Here is Ethan praying with Eric a few weeks ago. He threw in a couple people we don't know =).

The Mama Dada Dance

This is one of Ethan's favorite activities. He runs around whatever or whomever saying "Mama Dada" over and over again. Sometimes Eric grabs him and gets some big laughs.

Fun with Grandpa

Ethan had a lot of fun with his Grandpa David. They had so much fun today. Ethan even asked to sing the "Grandpa David" song. He can't wait for his next visit. Come back soon. We already miss you! Here is some of the fun they had today.

Luckily I had a pair of shorts in the car and my mom had an 18 month shirt for Ethan to wear. It really shows off his muscles. And this is for Eric and Oma, "Go Ducks." =) Ethan had a surprise visit from his buddy Carson. Sharing was a bit difficult since neither boy had had their nap, but amazing Aunt Becky was able to get them to share a coloring book (for a few seconds anyway).

I think Aunt Jen is talking about sharing right here.

"Ganpa David" comes to visit

Here are a few pictures of Grandpa David meeting Abby for the first time. As you can see, Abby already loves him.

Here are some pictures from the zoo a few weeks ago. We went with Oma and had a great time. Ethan can't stop talking about it. He says "Animals fun (while nodding his head)." Eric and I have become quite good at making up songs to entertain Ethan. He now likes to think of an animal from the zoo and have us sing the song. There's only so much that rhymes with hippopotamus.

This picture is random, but makes me laugh. I've been wondering lately how much of abby's hair will fall out. Let's hope this doesn't happen. This is the back of my sweet boy Ethan. And yes, he has enough hair in the back for a little tail. and that is why we gave him a mini haircut at 3 months =).
