After many attempts to get Ethan to sign please, he did last weekend! We were so excited. Eric said Ethan's "please" sign could be confused for "yummy." I think that's appropriate for our little guy who hardly turns away food (food he likes anyway). He also likes to make a face like the food he is eating is gross and then gobbles it up with a smile. Such a ham!

Happy Mother's Day

I thought it would be appropriate to dedicate this blog to my mom and Gabrielle. Two very special ladies in our lives. As you can see, Ethan sure loves them too!

Sidenote: We were having lunch with Gabrielle and Ethan kept leaning into her wanting her to snuggle with him. It was so cute and made Oma's day! =)

Our Surprise Beach Trip

Last Friday Eric called me with little information except that I needed to pack and then pick him up from work. For such short notice I was pretty impressed with my packing skills. With the car loaded we were on our way to Nike. I still have no idea what is going on. He starts to drive and drives for a few miles without telling me what we're doing. Of course I was dying inside to know what the plan was. Finally he said, "how would you like to go the beach for 3 days." Um hello, you know it!!! This was our first Thompson family vacation since Ethan has been born. It was so amazing. Thanks for an incredible adventure sweetie! I enjoyed every second!

What is this stuff?

We stayed just outside of Lincoln City, but decided to drive North to Cannon Beach. Somebody wanted to go to the bakery =). As you can see it was amazing weather. Ethan is in charge of Sunny in this picture.

Have you ever accidentally handed your 14 month old a dog biscuit instead of your dog and not realized it for a good 5 seconds? Me either. I was just curious. =)
